Mark Faber has more than 35 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry. As Executive Vice President & General Manager of Texas Motor Speedway since August 2022, Faber oversees all operations, events, revenue, community initiatives, and strategy for the 1,500-acre facility which held its first NASCAR race in 1997.

He spent the previous 17 years with AEG, where he was Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships in Las Vegas, securing major deals for T-Mobile Arena and MGM Grand Garden Arena, helping both venues achieve top global rankings for revenue. In addition, Faber was a member of the AEG/MGM Joint Venue Operating Committee, which provided strategic direction and oversight for the venues’ operations, revenues, financials, capital expenditures, concessions, staffing, primary/secondary ticketing platforms, event booking and production, and EBITDA. Prior to Las Vegas, Faber played a key role in launching Sprint Center in Kansas City with AEG and the City of Kansas City, securing significant sponsorships and premium seating as well as sitting on the leadership team. Faber’s career began with the Orange Bowl Committee in Miami, Florida where he was Ticket Manager. He left Miami to join the Dallas Cowboys in 1989 to work in Dallas Cowboys Television Productions. He was later promoted to manage Training Camp in Austin and sell sponsorships and premium seating at Texas Stadium.  During the next five years, the Cowboys won back-to-back World Championships in Super Bowls XXVII and XXVIII, and Faber was elevated to add the responsibility of being a member of the post-season advance team for NFC Championship games and Super Bowls. 

In 1995, Faber left the the Dallas Cowboys for a senior position with Liberty Media and later held positions with Host Communications, Galles Racing, PSP Sports and Learfield Sports.

A native of Prairie Village, Kansas, Faber holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History and earned an MBA from the University of Kansas. He’s active in many civic and philanthropic endeavors, including serving as President of the Board of Trustees for Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas Chapter and he is also a member of the Metroport Chamber Board of Directors. Faber was honored with the 2022 Bill Dorsey Visionary Award at the ALSD Conference in New York for his contributions to the sports and entertainment industry.

Faber resides in Trophy Club, Texas, with his wife Holly. Their children are Megan, a Belmont University graduate, and Drew, a University of Alabama graduate.Top of Form
