It's one of the most controversial guessing games in America --will the Federal Reserve Bank raise interest rates again at its next committee meeting?
The majority seems to be that the Open Market Committee will brainstorm, discuss and then raise the rate again when it meets Thursday and Friday.
Economic growth specialist Dan Verroney, founder and CEO of Potomac Core, says "for now, I think they just need to stay where they are."
He says it's important that the committee keep its eye on the numbers like the Consumer Price Index, which keeps track of how much money consumers are paying for goods.
"The CPI numbers will be what's gone on last month, and the PPI numbers will tell us what's coming up in front of us," he says.
The Producer Price Index (PPI) keeps track of the prices paid by manufacturers, for instance, when they're making the goods that will later show up for sale, allowing to slightly predict an increase in prices consumers will pay later.
The Fed increased its key interest rate when it met last month by about one-quarter to 3.9%.
