GOP Still Preaching Social Issues As Democrats Run From Topic

There are many things on American minds as the midterm elections approach. Many people are upset over gas prices, higher housing costs, expensive groceries, and a whole host of topics. Most of which were caused directly under the Biden Administration and President Trump is trying to fix. Affordability is the buzz word heading into the home stretch of election season, but social issues are still on people's minds.

Things like values and morality have deteriorated in the last few decades in America. But people have grown sick of it and wan the old ways back. People want to live in a Christian nation with Christian values, as the founding fathers always intended it to be. So, while affordability is a key issue, these social issues are a huge part of what will influence voters in November. Whether the Left wants to admit it or not.

Democrats in their desires to regain control of Congress have hammered affordability, ripping Republicans for problems caused by the former head of their party. As if they are a beacon of light that will save the economy after wrecking it tremendously in four short years. In their efforts though, they have abandoned the social issues that Americans hold dear, thinking affordability will win them the election. Meanwhile, the GOP continues weaving the topic into their platform.

Meredith Dyer of The Texan says the GOP still has touch with reality and know how important this is in elections.

"They are not giving up on these, and of course Democrats do not want to focus on them because they are as extreme as they have ever been," she says.

The Democrat platform, beyond getting Trump in any way possible, comes down to blatant communism now. The party has been invaded by self-proclaimed socialists, which is just a fancy word for communism. Their views have gone so far extreme that their ideas on social issues now turn off American voters. Every time they open their mouths on the topic, they insert ten feet.

So, they are forced to hyperfocus on affordability, because it is really all they have left in the ammunition box.

"They are making the argument the economic issues are front and center and these will be the things that win the election," says Dyer.

Republicans have campaigned on affordability, of course, as it is still the number one topic. But the key advantage for them now is they have found ways to integrate the social issues into their agenda.

"They are just not afraid to intermingle and include these, and be pretty blunt about them as well," Dyer says.

Democrats have been spiking the football, celebrating a November win for months now. But they might be in for a rude awakening. Abandoning the social issues and letting Republicans hammer them could be a death nail. People care about affordability, but that can be fixed over time. Reverting our societal values and norms back to what we expect could be impossible.

If the GOP shows up and votes with these issues in their minds, the blue wave will be less than a small ocean swell.
