Experts Warn If We Don't Build Data Centers, China Will

With the growing divide over data centers, including here in Texas, some experts are warning that if we don't build them, China will.

"It is a fair statement, the Chinese are obviously in competition with us, and of course they're expanding globally" said retired Lt. Colonel, Robert Maginnis, who has become an expert in the battle over AI.

We live in a digital world, and while it me seem invisible, all of the power to run it is not.

"We have to make sure we have the right infrastructure" Maginnis told KTRH, "This is the new electricity of the 21st century, it's far more sophisticated that the industrial revolution and how it transformed society. But we've got to find solutions."

A solution that will protect American communities, while still building the data centers that our nation needs.

"We can't afford for the Chinese to outpace us in this" noted Maginnis, "AI if you win it, you win the world, and if you lose it, you lose the world. We have to recognize what's at stake here."
