A North Texas man is in jail in connection with threatening phone calls made to Texas Governor Greg Abbott last month.
The 36-year-old man from the city of Whitney, about 70 miles south of Fort Worth is accused of leaving to voicemails for Gov. Abbott's office threatening bodily injury, according to court records.
The Department of Public Safety (DPS) traced the calls to the home of Brandon Andrew Miller, who was then arrested on felony charges of making a terroristic threat against a public servant.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office booked Miller on September 2nd with his bond set at $250,000.
Texas TV station KXAN says it's seen DPS documents that contain transcripts of the phone calls Miller allegedly made, which includes the phrase, "we will kill you."
