Tensions between the U.S. and Iran remain high, and while the Iranians continue to insist that the Strait of Hormuz is closed, they remain under a naval blockade imposed by the United States.
That blockade has been used by the United States to create economic pressure on the Iranian regime, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth says that can continue as long as is necessary.
According to reporting from Fox News, Hegseth recently said: “Indefinitely the United States Navy can maintain a blockade like that because we’ll rotate ships in and out, as we have, and we’ll continue to.”
This comes as the Trump administration continues to claim total and complete control of the Strait of Hormuz, which has continued to see commercial traffic despite Iran’s claims that it’s closed.
