Conservatives In Conroe Take A Stand On Education

Taking a stand against the radical left's education agenda, the conservatives on the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees voted 5-2, to decline a seat on the liberal Texas Association of School Boards' governing body.

"The Conroe ISD Trustees said, look the families in Conroe ISD do not agree with a lot of the TASB stances, and we're not going to put a person on the board and require them to then publicly endorse TASB positions that we disagree with" said journalist Erin Anderson, who wrote about it for Texas Scorecard.

As she notes, TASB is a tax-funded association that provides multiple services to Texas school districts, including policy and legal advice, insurance, and most alarming of all, 'trustee training'.

"TASB was part of the national organization that asked the federal government to investigate parents as domestic terrorists" Anderson told KTRH.

Which is why the Conroe ISD board did not want to get involved.

"These Conroe ISD Trustees, who are all pretty conservative, they were elected on conservative platforms" noted Anderson, "Conroe ISD said thanks, but no thanks."

The bottom line is, they don't want to support, or be a part of TASB's left-leaning polices.
