A suspected terror plot targeting President Trump's UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House has led to multiple arrests.
Federal authorities say 31-year-old Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez allegedly organized a plan to use explosive drones and sniper attacks to create mass casualties during the June 14 event.
Alvarez was arrested before the event took place, and investigators say five people have been charged so far.
Officials say Alvarez was living in the United States under DACA protections after overstaying a visa years ago.
Court records indicate investigators identified more than 20 people connected to the alleged planning effort.
Federal officials say the plot was disrupted before it advanced beyond the planning stages. The suspects face serious federal charges that could carry life prison sentences if convicted.
