NYSE Opens Monday Morning After United States Announces Ceasefire Agreement With Iran

Following a deal to end hostilities in the Middle East, Wall Street hit new records on Monday.

The Dow Jones industrial average closed up nearly 470 points to close at a new record high of 51,671.03. The 30-stock index also hit a new all-time intraday high during the session.

As stocks went up, oil futures went down, all the way into the neighborhood of $80 a barrel, its lowest price since before Operation Epic Fury began.

The deal between the US and Iran was announced on Sunday. The agreement is scheduled to be signed in Geneva, Switzerland on Friday.
