The results are not official yet, but two high profile Republicans in liberal California are in position to move on to the general election after Tuesday's primaries.
With 56% of the vote counted, Republican Spencer Pratt is in the second spot with 29% of the vote. That trails incumbent Mayor Karen Bass, who is the only candidate to officially advance to November.
In the Governor's race, Republican Steve Hilton is the top vote getter with 56% of the vote counted so far. If that holds he would move on to a showdown with Xavier Becerra, the former HHS Secretary under Joe Biden.
