Trump's Anti-Weaponization Fund Temporarily Blocked

President Trump planned a fund at the DOJ to compensate those who were unfairly prosecuted by a politicized DOJ under the Biden administration.

The fund would have had nearly two billion dollars in it, with much of that money likely being directed to former January 6 defendants on what the administration said was a “case-by-case” basis.

Following a lawsuit from several plaintiffs, including a former prosecutor who claims he was fired from the DOJ for his role in prosecuting J6ers, U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema blocked any further action on the fund from being taken by the DOJ.

A hearing in the case has been set for June 12.
