Market Closes At Record Highs As Iran Deal Appears To Be Getting Closer

The stock market closed at record highs today, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up over 360 points to 51,032.46.

The Nasdaq closed out at 26,972.62, thanks in large part to huge gains in the tech sector. Dell Technologies was one of the main drivers, jumping up 32% after beating their first-quarter projections and raising their full-year guidance.

This gain in the markets comes as the U.S. and Iran appear to be drawing closer to a peace deal. President Trump has reportedly spent much of today in the Situation Room at the White House considering a final proposal that would end the U.S. blockade of Iran and see the Strait of Hormuz opened.

On that news, oil prices fell sharply, dipping at one point all the way down to $86.51 a barrel.
