DNI Tulsi Gabbard To Step Down Following Husband's Cancer Diagnosis

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has resigned in order to spend more time supporting her husband, who has been diagnosed with a rare bone cancer.

According to reporting from Fox News, Gabbard’s last day as the Director of National Intelligence will be June 30.

Her husband has been diagnosed with an “extremely rare” bone cancer, and Gabbard aims to dedicate more time to supporting him, according to her resignation letter.

She said in the letter: “I cannot in good conscience ask him to face this fight alone while I continue in this demanding and time-consuming position.”
