Former Cuban President Raúl Castro has been indicted on charges related to a 1996 attack on two civilian aircraft.
According to the DOJ, the two planes were owned by Brothers to the Rescue, a Cuban-American group, and Raúl Castro ordered the planes shot down.
Four people, three of whom were Americans, were reportedly killed in the attack.
This indictment of Castro follows the shocking arrest of former Venezuelan dictator Nicholas Maduro, who was arrested in his militarized compound during Operation Midnight Hammer earlier this year.
