So much for the economic doom and gloom from the Democrats and mainstream media.
The U.S. economy grew at an annualized rate of 2% in Q1 2026, bouncing back from a weak 0.5% in late 2025. This was slightly below the expectations of 2.2%.
In other economic news Thursday, core personal consumption expenditures price index, which excludes food and energy, accelerated a seasonally adjusted 0.3% for the month, pushing the 12-month inflation rate to 3.2%. This was in line with expectations, and largely caused by rising gasoline prices.
