In a gathering at the White House, President Trump announced the largest drug price cuts In U.S. History.
The main deal involves Regeneron lowering the prices of current and all future drugs on Medicaid, and it also involves selling a cholesterol drug called Praluent for $225 on the White House's discounted drug website TrumpRx.
"Even the 'fake news' has to be impressed with this" Trump said, "They'll find a way to make it a bad story."
The announcement is another most-favored-nation deal that the Trump administration has made with drug companies to bring U.S. pharmaceutical prices down to the same level as other developed nations.
Last year, Trump publicly sent letters to executives at 17 major pharmaceutical companies about the issue.
According to reports, Regeneron is the final one of those companies to agree to a deal with the Trump administration.
