Despite the doom and gloom you see on the nightly news, the process is working. The process being President Trump's revitalization of the United States economy. Through tariffs, the big, beautiful bill and cutting illegal immigrants from the work force, the President has started turning things around for the better. After jobs reports recently that were above expectations, now more numbers are coming out showing a rebounding economy.
The American consumer appears to be back, with retail sales in February beating expectations across the board. That snapped a two-month skid of blow average readings. In the report, retail and food service sales rose 0.6 percent, topping the 0.4 percent that was forecasted. In addition, the January drop of 0.2 percent was revised to 0.1 percent. From a year prior, retail sales are up 3.7 percent.
It has been a long hard road to fix what President Biden did to the economy, and the process is still in its infancy to an extent. But the turnaround is beginning to take shape.
Republican National Committee Co-Chair K.C. Crosbie says all of this combined is a testament to the President's efforts.
"I think it just goes back to President Trump and his policies...and it is showing that American people have confidence and are out spending," she says.
People are starting to see the effects as well. Prices are coming down, some sectors faster than others. Food remains a bit high, but things are gradually coming down. After all, it takes time to undo four years' worth of damage. Anyone who genuinely believed Trump would fix prices immediately was either delusional or has an IQ below 80 points.
The biggest things though people have is confidence again. They believe President Trump. He comes through on what he says he will do, and we have not had many Presidents like that in the 21st Century.
"People do not have to doubt, when he says he is going to do something he will do it, and we are moving in the right direction," says Crosbie. "We have the most effective communicator at the top, and he works tirelessly for the American people...and they are seeing that in the results and his policy."
That is the key: results. That is something that Democrats do not have heading into the crucial midterms this November. The GOP has actual wins to tout, like the big, beautiful bill. They have something to show for their efforts. Democrats do not have that.
Of course too, the liberal media refuses to report any of this positivity. Because it is easier for them to just hate everything Trump does. But ignore the results as they might, they cannot ignore the impact on Americans.
"People are seeing more money with tax returns, people are back working...wages are increasing...people are seeing things more in the right direction," Crosbie says.
That key of results could be big in November. This wave of good results could be what cascades into a red wave in the midterms.
