The President Is Cussing Like He's a Democrat

President Donald Trump is known for off-the-cuff, random statements and observations, but he's not known for using foul language as much as his opponents are.

Consistent use of the "F" and "S" words is mostly tied to Democrats, who've been unapologetically using them for more than a decade now.

On Sunday, President Trump told Iran in a social media post, "Open the f***ing Strait, you bastards."

Some who might have been unconcerned if a Democrat said it were clutching their pearls.

Newsweek headlined: "Trump unleashes profanity-laced threat against Iran," while National Public Radio (NPR) called it "a curse-filled social media rant" and Raw Story called it a "curse-laden threat."

Some of Trump's Sunday critics dismissed the entire rant as "piggish" or "unhinged," but if the overall message is really the point, why focus closely on the use of "foul language?"

White it wasn't unheard-of for Trump to "cuss," it comes to mind that Donald Trump is not known for frequent and casual curse words, unlike members of the Democrat Party.

Just a year ago, Politico wondered what's up with the "Potty Mouth Democrats," especially Texas-based Representative Jasmine Crockett, as "profanity leaped effortlessly from her lips" and in reaction to President Trump's speech in March of 2025, Ken Martin, the new chair of the Democratic National Committee, took a more Midwestern approach to addressing the Commander in Chief: 'Go to hell.'"

Even as far back as 2017, PBS had to explain Why the #$@! Democrats Are Swearing More, and some even remember former President Joe Biden's hot-mic ad lib about Obama Care being a "big f***ing deal" back in 2010. He wasn't exactly exiled from the party for the breach of etiquette at the White House event, he was more revered for his use of plain language.
