Wall Street Has Biggest Day Since Last Spring

With signals that the war with Iran may soon end, U.S. stocks surged to their best day since last spring, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up more than 1,000 points.

The S&P 500 jumped 2.9%, setting up its largest gain since May. The Nasdaq composite was up 3.8%.

Experts say the optimism comes following reports that President Trump told aides he’s willing to end the U.S. military campaign against Iran even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed.
