The midterms are fast approaching, just over seven months away from us now. Historically, the party in the majority is bound to lose their majority in midterms, so this has led to some Democrat victory laps being taken. They have become brash, arrogant, and openly rooting against America in the war with Iran. All of it believing they are assured a blue wave in November.
But as the famous Lee Corso would say on College Gameday, "not so fast, my friend!" The Democrat polling numbers have been falling more and more in recent months. Recent polls have shown what was a double-digit advantage to flip the house decrease to just a six-point lead. It is shrinking by the day. People are becoming more turned off with their arrogance, disdain for America, and the fact they have no real political platform.
Former Campaign Staffer for President Trump Mike Hahn says they have jumped the gun a bit early, and Republicans have actual wins to tout.
"If Republicans continue talking about the SAVE Act...how much safer people are with the border security and the elimination of foreign adversaries...the big, beautiful bill and how that is delivering for folks...it is a winning message," he says.
That is the biggest difference. Republicans actually have work to show for their efforts. They passed the largest tax cuts in American history, helped Trump secure the border, and helped at least scratch the surface on eliminating rampant government fraud.
Democrats have nothing. No real policy wins, no real battles they have been victorious. They have done nothing but bash Trump, repeat the same recycled nonsense, and never actually accomplish anything. As it wears on people more, the worse their chances get at any kind of blue wave in November.
"We are in a significantly better place economically than we were under Joe Biden...foreign policy as well, we are respected again on the world stage," says Hahn. "The Democrats will try to take every step they can to embarrass President Trump is they retake Congress, and that is just not something we can have right now."
Not only can we not have it; we simply do not need it. The Democrat party has somehow become a large version of a middle school child. They just throw tantrums, pick fights they cannot win, and then play the victim when things do not go their way. There is not a single adult in the room for them, and it is showing to the American people.
It is not just going to be touting the message that will help Republicans reverse historical trends. Trump will have to rally to help push things over the line. But with all the moves he has made, namely securing Venezuelan oil, Americans will not just hear an empty message. They will begin seeing results before they head to the polls. Which can make all the difference.
"A lot of the economic benefits of what the President is doing on the foreign stage...a lot of Americans are going to start to feel that as we get later into the year," Hahn says.
Democrats once again are predicting a blue wave, and if history has taught us anything, they might be right. But they are celebrating the impact a bit early. If they are not careful, that blue wave might not even make it to shore.
