As U.S. Dominates, China Has Spent Years Preparing For An Iran Oil Crisis

As President Trump continues to work to bring oil prices back down here in the U.S., some analysts say that China has been preparing for years, for an Iran oil crisis.

But China expert Gordon Chang, is not sure how much of a difference it will actually make.

"The problem for China, is that they compare themselves to the United States, and we are the world's energy super-power" Chang said, "We're in a pretty good position when it comes to energy, the Chinese are not."

It's a problem that is not going to improve, anytime soon.

"They'll have to buy much more from Russia, and Russia is going to jack up the price" Chang told KTRH, "It's going to be a difficult time for China, even under the best scenarios."

It's a problem that has already started.
