Buford’s, the bar that was at the center of last weekend’s terror attack in Austin, Texas, has announced plans to reopen Friday evening, calling it the “right step forward.”
Our TV partner Channel 2 reports that 40 of 41 employees have said they’re ready to return to work, and the bar announced via social media that they will resume operations starting at 6:00 p.m.
Buford’s also announced that 100% of the revenue generated on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be donated to the families of the victims of last weekend’s shootings.
There is also set to be an increased police presence at the bar and surrounding area, with one of the side streets planned to be completely closed between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.
