Two-Thirds Of CNN Viewership Disappears In One Decade As Network Declines

The legacy media has been in a tailspin in the last ten years, as they continue pushing progressive ideologies in favor of covering real news. Countless examples have taken place in recent years of deliberate liberal bias, backed up by incorrect facts, in recent years. CNN has been a prime culprit of this, having seen their network struggle to stay relevant, laying off journalists and now, seeing their viewer base disappear.

According to the Daily Mail, the network has lost two-thirds of its viewership in the last decade, falling from 1.3 million viewers a day in 2016 to around 553,000 in 2026. That has sparked rumors of a sale, with Warner Brothers seeing two recent offers to take the network off its hands. But it is yet another example of a once-proud network collapsing because of a refusal to change its ways and report fairly.

Fox news contributor Elizabeth Amez says people have lost interest in the progressive bombardment.

"People are not looking for ideology, they are looking for news...they have committed a number of major journalistic errors, driven by ideology, in the last number of years," she says.

Notably, the network refused to cover President Biden's mental and cognitive decline, with panels on the network insisting he was "sharper than ever." They network, along with the other mainstream outlets, have also been busted for negatively reporting on ICE and President Trump an alarming number of times. In most case, over 80-percent of their coverage is negative.

They just cannot say anything positive, totally wrapped in their own deluded bubble that thinks anything President Trump does is bad. They think their strategy of calling any non-Leftist a fascist is working, but in reality, people are tired of it. People are tired of being called a racist for thinking just slightly different from the progressive ideology.

They want news, they want to feel seen and they want to feel heard when they watch the news. So, in a weird way, the network has become a victim of its own ideology.

"Ironically, Fox News has grown...Fox news reflects the mainstream of the United States, the so-called silent majority," says Ames.

Fox News is still averaging around 1.7 million viewers a day, leading all of basic cable. That is because they report the news. Sure, it is with a Conservative slant. But they have plenty of Democrat representation on the network and engage in actual debate.

The other legacy outlets just do not do that, in a way in which they have created a niche for themselves that is not sustainable. Not without serious self-reflection. It is fixable, but it would take a total revamping of how they operate.

"You would have to rethink the whole thing...so many new channels have come up, so if it were something impossible...you have News Nation, you have One America News hanging in there," Ames says. "It is not like it is not possible, but I do not think they really know their audience."

The legacy media continues dying more every day, as they become cornered into an ideology. The problem is if they revert from that ideology, they could lose all their viewership at once.

It has become quite the pickle for CNN and more evidence of a once-trusted network falling into irrelevance.
