In a huge move for 'election integrity' in the U.S., the House of Representatives passed Rep. Chip Roy's SAVE America Act, legislation, which is aimed at keeping non-citizens from voting in U.S. federal elections.
The final vote was 218-213, with only 1 House Dem, Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, voting for the bill. The rest of the Democrats voted against the bill. All of the Republicans who were present voted for it.
The bill, that would require voter ID in elections as early as this coming November, now heads to the Senate.
