Iced Out: Riots Allow Violent Criminal to Escape Arrest

Lost in all the rhetoric over the anti-ice riots in Minnesota is the fact that they are allowing dangerous criminals to get away. The latest example of this happened last weekend, during the violent anti-ICE protest that resulted in the fatal shooting of an armed protester. Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino says the protest interrupted an operation to arrest a dangerous criminal illegal alien. "Mr. Jose Huerta-Chuma, look at his criminal record, it includes domestic assault, intentional infliction of bodily harm, disorderly conduct, as well as other things," Bovino told a news conference. "This individual remains at large today."

"This is the individual (wanted) in that targeted law enforcement effort that Border Patrol agents were engaged in," continues Bovino. "When (officers) were disrupted, assaulted, and prevented from conducting that mission by individuals intent on making the choice to riot, to create anarchy, and to be a violent mob."

Bovino also joined President Trump and DHS Sec. Kristi Noem in calling out Democrat leaders for encouraging the riots. "This individual (Jose Huerta-Chuma) walks the streets today because of these choices made by politicians and those, perhaps, weaker-minded constituents that chose to follow directions of those politicians...sad state of affairs."

Not only did the protesters prevent the capture of a dangerous criminal, they left an officer maimed. ICE Assistant Director Marcos Charles said a group of agitators tackled an ICE special agent and one of the protesters bit off part of the agent's finger. "The officer is recovering, but is now permanently maimed and has lost part of his finger," said Charles.

Charles reiterated what is being lost in the chaos surrounding the anti-ICE protests. "The reality is...we're out here to arrest dangerous criminal illegal aliens so they can't victimize innocent people in our communities anymore," he said.

Now, at least one of those dangerous criminals is still out there.
