A massive winter storm is hitting Dallas and much of the country.
A Winter Storm Warning is en effect through noon Sunday. An Extreme Cold Warning will be in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday through noon Monday. And an Ice Storm Warning will be in effect for several East Texas counties from 6 p.m. Friday until 6 p.m. Sunday.
Moderate to heavy snow, sleet, and ice is expected across North Texas as an Arctic air mass moves in on Friday. Forecasters warn the ice storm could make travel difficult, if not impossible, through Sunday morning and knock out power during times of bitter, deadly cold.
As of early Saturday morning, power outages are at a minimum across DFW. You can track those outages HERE.
ERCOT has Texas under a Weather Watch through Tuesday. They are not expecting any grid issues. You can track grid conditions HERE.
