Has Jerome Powell Declared War On The Trump Administration?

While the left and the mainstream media continue to try and paint President Trump as the villain for 'attacking' Fed Chair Jerome Powell, there is one political commentator who says it is actually just the opposite.

That would be Breitbart economics and finance editor, John Carney.

"That's right, Jerome Powell did something very aggressive and unprecedented" said Carney, "He put up a video declaring that he had received subpoenas, and said that this was an attempt by the Trump administration to undermine Federal Reserve independence. Now, Donald Trump didn't even know that subpoenas had gone out."

The truth is, as pointed out by former Fox Host Jeanine Pirro, now the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, the DOJ just had a few questions about the renovation of the Fed headquarters. But Powell completely ignored the questions, and tried to claim his consequences were political.

"He's really out of bounds, and he has in fact declared war on the Trump administration which is completely inappropriate for a central banker.

The last time we saw a feud like this was in the 70's, when Jimmy Carter went at it with Arthur Burns.

Carney says that Powell just needs to go away in May, and -not- try to stay on the board until 2028.
