US Seizes Second Vessel off Venezuelan Coast

The US military has boarded and seized a vessel off the coast of Venezuela, the second in two weeks.

In what Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Saturday is an ongoing operation, the US Coast Guard boarded the unidentified vessel Saturday afternoon using helicopters provided with cooperation with other branches of the military,

The move comes days after President Donald Trump implemented a blockade of all sanctioned ships coming or going to Venezuela.

On December 10th, US forces led by the Coast Guard boarded and seized an oil tanker that was said to be headed to Cuba, which is experiencing an energy crisis resulting in loss of power at homes and businesses often.

That oil tanker was sent on to a destination near Houston for inspection and off-loading.
