Abortion is banned in Texas, but that hasn’t stopped abortion pills from being prescribed to Texans by left-wing doctors in blue states and shipped into the state. So can we expect them to do the same thing with drugs like puberty blockers or assisted-suicide drugs?
Based on the pattern we’ve seen from the left when it comes to shipping abortion pills into states where they’re illegal, the answer appears to be a pretty clear yes.
RNC Committeeman Dr. Robin Armstrong explained: “They want us to accept their radical ideas—and then to force us to accept their radical ideas. It’s just a step too far.”
Armstrong says Texas is going to need the help of federal courts to ensure blue-state doctors respect our laws. “We’re going to have to hold civilly liable the physicians who are doing this in states where it’s illegal,” he said, “and we’re going to have to have federal partners to back that up.”
Armstrong says that could go as far as barring these doctors from practicing medicine in Texas in order to prevent them from prescribing illegal drugs to Texas patients. “I believe that we have to use federal law to restrict them from doing this,” he explained. “If you’re licensed in one state, it will allow you to practice in some other states. Those reciprocity laws are going to have to go away.”
