National security hawks are once again sounding the alarm over China—this time because a self-described “former” CCP intelligence affiliate has purchased a trailer park in the United States, located right next to a B-2 stealth bomber base.
China expert Gordon Chang, author of the book Plan Red: China’s Project to Destroy America, warned that this is no coincidence. “This trailer park can certainly be used for espionage—to track the flights of the B-2 bombers—but also for sabotage,” he said.
Chang went on to criticize the fact that Chinese purchases of land near U.S. military bases have been largely ignored by Americans. “The Chinese are preparing for war, and we Americans think we’re at peace,” he said. “Until we understand the gravity of the situation, we will not take the measures necessary.”
Those measures, he says, include immediately forcing Chinese nationals to divest from these properties and preventing future purchases. Chang also pointed out the simple fact that the U.S. would not—and has not—allowed any of our other global adversaries to gain this much control and influence over us.
