The Texas Aggies had an historic day on Saturday, making the biggest comeback in the University's history and holding on to a star coach.
Texas A&M was down 27 points in the afternoon game when the team surged and ended up winning the game 31-30 over South Carolina.
Just before the winning game, CBS Sports reported that A&M football coach Mike Elko had wrapped up negotiations over a new contract that would net him substantially more than the $7 million a year he's been making.
Elko's new arrangement would reportedly make him among the top 10 highest-paid coaches in the nation.
Elko is said to be getting a six-year extension worth more than $11 million a year.
A&M is at 10-0 after Saturday's win -- their first 10-win season since 2012 and is the number 3 team in the country, the first time the Aggies have been in the top 3 in 30 years
