A new report released by the conservative group, the Center for Security Policy, found that the race to lead and win in AI technology is a new 'cold war' between the U.S. and China. The goal is simple.
"Both sides are really striving to get really one thing, and that's what AI scholars and experts call super intelligence" said Harry Kazianis, a national security expert and president of the National Security Journal.
Basically. whoever wins the AI race, wins everything.
"Essentially the idea that AI or artificial intelligence, will be able to do anything better than a human" Kazianis told KTRH, "And as you can imagine the stakes are worth hundreds of trillions of dollars, if not more."
According to the report, China is on the cusp, which could make the CCP the world's leader in AI.
"The AI revolution will change everything" noted Kazianis, "We will get to a point where this thing called super intelligence could literally replace humans in every single job. Do we really want to live in a world where nobody has any jobs or no future?"
The group also reports that if the CCP can "flood the world market" with cheap and high-quality AI, China could actually drive American companies out of business.
