Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Gives $1m For Turning Point USA Chapters Across Texas

Hoping to continue the late Charlie Kirk's legacy here in Texas, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick is pledging $1 million in campaign dollars to install Turning Point USA chapters at every Texas high school and college.

"The Lt. Governor really cares about faith and family and freedom" said Christian Collins, founder of Texas Youth Summit, "This is really quite a big bold statement, he's putting his money where his mouth is."

The Lt. Governor said he felt "called by the Lord" to do so, and the funds will add fuel to the fire of revival that is happening all across our nation.

"God is doing something special in our country, and I'm just so grateful that the Lt. Governor wants to do what he can to usher in that revival here in the great state of Texas" Collins told KTRH.

A truly great state that currently has more than 1,200 school systems.

"The Lt. Governor is on the right track here, it's important that we have those values instilled at a very young age" noted Collins, "We need young people to be inspired to stand up for their values."

Inspired by Charlie Kirk, and since the tragic assassination, TPUSA has received more than 135,000 inquiries related to starting such chapters on high school and college campuses across the country.

Patrick is up for re-election in 2026, and is facing a Democratic challenge from state Rep. Vikki Goodwin (D-Austin).
