George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport are working with the FAA to reduce the number of flights nationwide because of the federal government shutdown.
Houston Airports anticipates that airlines will contact affected customers directly if their flights are impacted or if rescheduling options become necessary.
We ask travelers to check directly with their airlines for the most up-to-date flight information.
Houston Airports thanks all travelers for their patience and understanding as the situation continues to evolve.
On Friday, Nov. 7, TSA waiting times may exceed:
• 45 to 60 minutes at IAH
• 30 minutes at HOU.
** Houston Airports urges passengers to remain flexible as the government shutdown may impact security operations from one day—and even one shift—to the next. **
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
• At IAH, TSA checkpoints at Terminals A and E are open.
• At HOU, fewer TSA screening lanes are open.
• TSA Precheck and CLEAR are at all open checkpoints.
