FAA Announces Air Traffic Will Be Cut By 10% Due To Government Shutdown

As the Schumer Shutdown continues on Day #36, Transportation Sec. Sean Duffy announced that the FAA plans to "reduce flight capacity" in U.S. airspace starting on Friday, if the shutdown continues and air traffic controllers continue to go unpaid.

The plan is for the FAA to cut traffic by 10% at 40 airports (that have not been announced yet) beginning on Friday, if the Democrats continue to keep the government closed.

FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford also added that the agency is not going to wait for a problem to act, saying the shutdown is causing staffing pressures and “we can’t ignore it.”

The reduction comes as air traffic controllers are missing paychecks due to the Democrat led government shutdown.
