Trump Deal Close with China, Peace in Thailand, but Dems Fume over Ballroom

President Donald Trump is arranging trade agreements in Southeast Asia as Democrats focus on construction of a ballroom at the White House.

An historic peace arrangement between the skirmishing nations of Cambodia and Thailand was announced by the White House on Sunday, and it includes new US trade agreements with the two nations in addition to a new trade agreement with Malyasia.

Meanwhile, Democrat leaders are targeting construction at the East Wing of the White House that will result in a new entertainment ballroom for presidential celebrations.

Senate Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said on CBS's' "Face the Nation" that the construction falls under the "No Kings" marketing strategy of his party.

"The East Wing of the White House is being demolished so that Donald Trump can construct a ballroom where he will be celebrated like a king," Jeffries said.

California Democrat Representative Eric Smallwel said Saturday that the next presidential candidate from his party must vow to demolish the White House ballroom "on day one."

President Trump has been in Malaysia on Sunday for a political and economic conference, and is expected to be in South Korea on Thursday for a meeting with Chinese Communist Party leader Zhi Jang-Ping and to complete a deal to bring the American version of the social media platform Tik-Tok
