Damon Jones, a former Houston Cougar who also played for Boston, Golden State, Dallas, Cleveland, and other teams, was indicted as part of the massive NBA betting bust announced by the FBI on Thursday.

Jones is now accused of participating in an insider sports betting conspiracy and, according to authorities, was selling non-public information about Los Angeles Lakers players, with many suspecting that one of the players in question could be LeBron James.

After Jones spent 11 years as an NBA player, he served as an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers and an unofficial assistant coach for the Lakers.

Jones was among 30 people indicted for involvement in the scheme, which FBI Director Kash Patel announced was believed to involve multiple mafia crime families.
