A teacher in Chicago is facing backlash for mocking Charlie Kirk's assassination during last week's No Kings protest, raising concerns about teachers here in Texas. According to the TEA, there have been over 350 complaints regarding teachers' comments about Charlie Kirk.

The worst part is, that's just the ones we know about. This could be much worse than the 350 complaints the TEA has confirmed. State Representative and Congressman Steve Toth warned, "The number is significantly greater, but they haven't had the opportunity—they literally don't have the manpower—to go through all the complaints from parents."

Toth pointed to these far-left radical teachers as a possible explanation for why the state has been facing such a significant teacher shortage. He said, "Hatred toward America, hatred toward authority, hatred toward Republicans—it's driving really good people who have to work alongside them out of the classroom."

This raises the question of how we can start weeding these teachers out before they're hired and given a chance to indoctrinate our students. According to Toth, the solution is simple. He said, "I have a small service business, and before I hire anybody, I screen all their social media to know what I'm getting into, to understand their psychological state, and to determine whether these are people who can deal with others."

He suggests that the same approach be applied to potential teachers.
