Sharia law has already been banned here in the state of Texas, but now a group of House Republicans led by Chip Roy, are pushing a bill to block and deport illegal aliens that adhere to Sharia law.
"If you have someone who believes that, then defacto they would see the laws of the United States as illegitimate and would seek to live under Sharia law with it's own unique tennents" said Chuck DeVore with the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
That's the problem, and that's why these lawmakers are trying to address it. Removing or blocking those immigrants who believe that Sharia law supersedes our U.S. law and Constitution.
"When you become a citizen, you swear an oath of allegiance to the United States and to our constitutional order" DeVore told KTRH, "And if you believe something that is in opposition to that constitutional order, you can have that belief but you can't live here, you can't be a citizen. We get to choose."
In the meantime, a local Muslim leader in Houston is harassing store owners to stop selling pork.
"That is incompatible with America's constitutional order, and with both our civil and criminal code" DeVore told KTRH, while also adding that we have seen this in the U.S. decades ago when Mormon polygamy was struck down, along with anti-U.S. anarchy.
Something that they are now dealing with in Europe, which has become a major problem.
