Insurance companies have gone out of their way to lobby for nearly a trillion dollars more in new healthcare subsidies meant to offset the cost of Obamacare premiums, which have only gotten more and more expensive over the last 15 years.

Since 2010, Obamacare has been a leading cause of government spending and worsening health insurance coverage. Robert Henneke with the Texas Public Policy Foundation explained why, saying, "It's causing premiums to skyrocket and limited choice among healthcare providers. That's causing more Americans to become bankrupt from healthcare costs."

He explained the reason for this is that billions and billions of dollars are being paid to healthcare companies so that they don't have to charge customers the full market cost of their healthcare policies, which often do not cover very much due to Obamacare restrictions.

Henneke also pointed out that right now, government subsidies are the only thing keeping the Obamacare system from completely collapsing, and without continued bailouts from the taxpayer, Obamacare will get even worse. He said, "The American consumer is going to feel the true cost of these policies, and keep in mind that they don't actually cover anything."

He says this entire system is a ticking time bomb, and eventually these subsidies won't be able to hold up the Obamacare system, and we'll be forced to change it.
