Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has issued an advisory to schools across Texas, urging them to comply with the new state law requiring all school classrooms to display the Ten Commandments.

Right now, 11 different school districts across the state are under an injunction that prevents the state from enforcing the law, but for all other public schools, the law is in full effect.

In a press release regarding the new advisory, Paxton said, "The Ten Commandments are indisputably a cornerstone of America’s moral and legal heritage. Our founders drew upon the eternal truths captured in these commandments to form a nation built on law and ordered liberty. Now more than ever, these timeless principles are needed in our classrooms."

He says any school that agrees to enforce the law will have the full backing and support of his office.
