At a historic gathering of hundreds of top military leaders, President Donald Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth have shifted the focus of America's military.

The President has said for years that the military went too woke under former President Joe Biden, something Hegseth focused on in his speech.

“No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses." "No more climate change worship, no more division, distraction, or gender delusions." "We are done with that s***," he said.

The President had changed the name of the Department of Defense earlier this year to the Department of War, and talked about why he made the change.

"The name change reflects far more than the shift in branding—it's really a historic reassertion of our PURPOSE, our IDENTITY, and our PRIDE... Together, we're reawakening the WARRIOR SPIRIT."

Edward Turzanski, national security analyst, believes this change is long overdue after years of political correctness seeping into the military. He described this meeting as a "come to Jesus" moment. "Hegseth laid out in very specific detail what the problems have been with the military," says Turzanski. "Why it's overly politicized, not as physically fit as it needs to be, and not as well-trained and equipped as it should be."

As for how this new message will be received among the rank and file, Turzanski believes those who don't get on board will be shown the door. "To paraphrase a well-known TV series, resistance is futile," he says. "They mean it, and they're putting people in charge who are going to carry out the president's and the secretary's orders...and I think there is going to be a sea change in the military, for the better."
