Onetime Major League Baseball player Mark Teixeira says he has some advice for Democrats: Put your family first.
The former Yankee and now candidate for Congress from Texas says it's time for Democrats to understand that their time is up, that radical Democrats don't have a place in Texas, and that' what redistricting was all about.
One of the worst ideas that Democrats are pushing are the "anti-ICE agenda," he says.
"Every single day they risk their lives to keep our nation safe, and the fact that the radical left has continued to attack them, continued to target ICE agents who are just trying to comply with the law, just trying to keep our state safe, is completely unacceptable," Teixeira says.
The point of keeping ICE agents working the streets is to protect families, he adds.
"Back in 2010 my youngest son was born and he had some complications in his birth and I stayed an extra day, I missed a game, and I had Yankee fans all over the country asking me, 'Why are you missing a game?' Well, family's first."
Teixeira is running for the Texas 21st District Representative seat for Congress being vacated by Chip Roy, who's running for Attorney General of Texas.
