Houston Mayor John Whitmire held a news conference with law enforcement officials to announce that in the aftermath of 4 bodies found in the bayous, there is no evidence of a serial killer in Houston.
The string of recent deaths has raised safety concerns and fueled lots of speculation on social media.
"We do not have any evidence that there is a serial killer loose in Houston, Texas. Let me say that again, there is no evidence that there's a serial killer loose on the streets of Houston. If there was, you would hear it from me first" Whitmire said.
