Trump Hints At A "Closed Country" Due To Democrats Block Of Spending Bill

Taking questions from reporters at the White House, as he always does, President Trump hinted at a looming government shutdown later this months due to Senate Democrats.

Earlier today, the House approved a stop-gap spending bill 217-212, but the measure collapsed in the Senate 44-48. Once again, it was John Fetterman who was the lone Democrat to vote yes.

"We'll continue to talk to the Democrats, but I think you could very well end up with a closed country for a period of time" Trump said from the Oval Office.

Trump also signed an Executive Order to create the Gold Card visa program.
