End Of An Error: Harris County Judge Resigns Amid Lawsuit

Remember that lone lawsuit over the botched 2022 election in Harris County? It may be on the verge of a surprise ending. It's all due to the Democrat incumbent judge, Dasean Jones who has decided to step down, after a nearly 3-year challenge from Republican Tami Pierce.

"Jones told Pierce's attorney that he would not run in a do-over election, and so the only eligible candidate in that election is Tami Pierce" said Holly Hansen, reporter with The Texan

Sadly, it's really too little, too late. Back in 2022, there were massive failures and concerns with the elections. In total, 21 candidates sued, but only Tami Pierce was won a new election. That was last May, and Dasean Jones has been using yet another form of Democrat lawfare, to delay it. And now he wants the entire case dismissed.

"Quite a few of those votes (in 2022) were cast illegally, or cast in that 'after hours' voting that the Supreme Court determined was not valid after all" Hansen told KTRH, "And so she may well be taking that bench nearly 3 years after an election that she may have won."

It's another example of the left's, justice delayed is justice denied. But at least Pierce may get the seat until next year's election.

"The Governor of Texas can appoint a replacement to fulfill the unexpired term, and we know that Tami Pierce has applied for that" noted Hansen, who also pointed out that Tami Pierce had her hearing last week.
