A new poll from the University of Texas seems to indicate that most Texas voters don't support the Republican Party's new Texas congressional maps. But in a state as red as Texas, can that really be true?
According to the poll, just 13% of voters support the move, but the fact is, the real number is probably a lot higher. Jared Woodfill with Conservative Republicans of Texas said, "It's clearly an agenda-driven poll. The sample size is just 1,200 people, and we've got 19 million+ registered voters in the state of Texas."
He says that despite what the left and the mainstream media might try to tell you, this redistricting effort actually is completely fair, explaining, "When you see every single statewide office is held by Republicans and a Republican majority in the House and Senate, that should be reflected by our congressional representation."
Woodfill went on to say that right now, just how deep red the state of Texas is is not reflected as much as it should be in our congressional delegation and also called out Democratic states that are already heavily gerrymandered for their unfair maps.
