Tuesday is a long-awaited day for many in the field of tech -- not to mention the hundreds of millions of fans -- as Apple's annual product kickoff begins at noon Central Time.
Apple has been secretive as usual about what they'll reveal, but they're expected to debut new iPhones.
"From what I hear from my internal sources in the industry, there's going to be four upgraded phones, four upgraded phones, which is pretty much the norm that Apple has been doing for the past several years," according to the High Tech Texan, Michael Garfield.
"There's going to be an Apple iPhone 17, a 17 Pro Max and pretty much a brand new Apple 17 Air, so the Air is going to be a new line in the lineup," Garfield says.
"Really the form factor of the iPhone hasn't changed in a number of years, it's pretty much a standard 6-inch, maybe 6-and-a-quarter-inch, pretty much the same thickness, but it seems to me the Air is going to a lot thinner, and that follows what the iPad Air did when it was released.
"This is probably about 5.5 millimeters thin."
And although most other phone manufacturers have a foldable phone or flip phone, not Apple -- not this year either, Garfield says.
And prices? "They've held pretty steady over the years, I think Apple has done a pretty good job of keeping a measure of what consumers want to pay, or can pay right now.
"It seems that entry level Apple 17 may stay about the same price of $800, $900 dollars."
