No one has ever called the radical left smart. They have been called many things. Crazy, unhinged, spoiled, and arrogant. But smart is not generally the word that comes up when describing them. Even if they do flaunt themselves as being the smartest people in the room. They have really stepped up the stupidity in President Trump's second term in office, and yet again, we have hit a new low.
On a show called "Surrounded," where 20 people gather around one person to discuss dissenting views, one radical Democrat stood out above the rest. She began making her case to the main guest, Patrick Bet-David, that she essentially is anti-capitalism. Which essentially means you are either socialist, communist, or some other form of political ideology that does not work. What happened next was pure theatre.
Bed-David offered the radical girl a one-way ticket to the communist country of her choice. She then responded with "name me a communist country," as if she was going to catch him in a trap. Bet-David then rattled off Cuba. To which the leftist responded, "that is not a communist country." Because sure, the country run by known communist dictator Fidel Castro is not at all communist.
It is an astounding lack of self-awareness, ignorance, and education. Becky Noble of RedState.com says this is what the younger generation of Democrat has become.
"We are on the second generation of young people who have no idea what communism or socialism even is," she says.
No one is totally sure where this push for communism by the Left came from, but it has become a core ideology of the progressive faction. Because the idea has worked so well in countries like Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela.
But because this generation has not truly seen what communism is, or been taught about it, they have a false sense of what the ideology means.
"They think it is all kisses and sunshine, everyone gets everything they want, and it is utopia," says Noble. "Just the sheer ignorance of this girl to know absolutely nothing about what she is talking about...it is stunning."
But the saddest part is while it is stunning to see, it is not surprising. This is what we have come to expect from the progressive left. Uneducated opinion spat off because their favorite influencer told them to say it.
Ultimately though, this falls back on the schools, and the lack of education they give the newer generation.
"You cannot say 'what are they teaching these kids,' more like what are they not teaching them," Noble says.
Noble says these progressives want capitalism with communism, and you cannot have it both ways.
