After its annual August recess, Congress returns to work in Washington Tuesday.
And, since it's September, we'll be watching the clock. The Federal Government runs out of money on September 30th, so lawmakers will have to agree on a new spending plan to keep the government open. It's a game that we see played out in Washington every year that usually comes down to the last second. But this time around, it may be different.
This time around it seems like Democrats are willing to shut the government down over President Donald Trump's agenda. If you don't believe us, just look at what California Democrat Ro Khanna told MSNBC last week.
Meantime, the White House says president Trump will make an announcement from the Oval office at 1 o'clock this afternoon. At this point there is no word on what the announcement may be.
Social media went into hysterics over the weekend, claiming there were problems with the President's health because he hadn't been seen in public for days. On Saturday, though, that was debunked, by Trump himself, who was out in public for a round of golf.
